“In my latest series, Reflections, I explore the concept of change through the subject of water.

Long symbolic of life, emotion, and transformation, water became an intuitive focus for me during a period of personal transition. I was inspired by the shifting light and crystalline clarity of Lake Chelan, where the ever-changing reflections became both a visual and emotional anchor. The intricate patterns found in nature remain a constant source of inspiration in my work.

In an increasingly uncertain world, these paintings reflect a search for inner guidance and clarity. I hope they bring a sense of peace and offer the viewer space to reconnect with their own inner wisdom”.

Aleksandra Saronjic was born and raised in Serbia. She earned her BA in Fashion and Textile Design from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and moved to the United States with her husband in 2000. While living on the East Coast, she graduated from LIM College in New York and worked in the fashion industry for many years.

After moving to Seattle in 2016, Aleksandra decided to pursue art full-time. She completed the four-year KOH Atelier program at the Gage Academy of Art in 2021. A love of pattern and expressive color runs through her abstract landscapes and remains a constant source of inspiration. The symbolism of her colors conveys themes of wisdom, healing, and renewal.

Her works have been featured in group exhibitions at the Gage Academy of Art, and various regional galleries, including Fountainhead Gallery, Mack Gallery, Cole Gallery, Matzke Fine Art Gallery and Sculpture Park, Gallery Axis, Magnuson Park Gallery, Domicile Gallery, and Confluence Gallery. Aleksandra works at her studio in Equinox Studios in Georgetown and lives in Seattle with her husband and son.
